Welcome back (again!) This is day two of crushing the singles game.
How did your exercise go? Did you notice anything around your mindset of being single? Are you happy to be single? Does it make you sad to think about being single? Where are you falling in your single mindset journey?
At some points in ALL of our lives, we will be single, and that is OKAY. Weirdly in our society we are told we need to have a partner to be “whole”. In order to be successful, that is a requirement. But a lot of the time the relationships take away from our lives and really aren’t good for us. So it is important to recognize when we are single we can do different things than when we are in a relationship.
Today lets focus on a PROs and CONs list of being single. I want you to literally write two columns, pros and cons of single life. What are different things that when you are in a relationship you will not be able to do or get? For example, you might not be able to go out on the town with your friends whenever you want because you have different responsibilities or want to spend time with your significant other.
You might have responsibility to take on kids or house payments, stuff like that. Being single provides differently than being in a relationship, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t. So I want you to write down things you see as positives, pros, benefits to being single and some things that are the drawbacks, negatives, cons.
Maybe you don’t have someone to snuggle with at night or you don’t have someone to share the rent with if you live with your signifcant other (bigger financial burden!).
Write down your pro/con list and we will check back in tomorrow. Talk to you then!
because being single is NOT always easy.
