YAYYYYYYYY! You made it to the last day! This is DAY 6 of Relationship Refresh. Today we are going to be bringing it all to a close and discuss where can you go from here…
So yesterday you were supposed to have a conversation with your significant other about all of the wonderful things you are grateful for when it comes to them and your relationship with them.
How did that go? Hopefully that was a little bit easier to present to them than the improvement areas… and hopefully that made you (and them) feel so good! So much of life and happiness come from feelings of gratitude. We have to remind ourselves to feel grateful. Our minds like to trick us into thinking situations are ALL BAD, that there is no good in a situation. I know, trust me, my mind goes immediately to “OMG THIS IS TERRIBLE”. This always happen. Why does this always happen?
But that is not how it actually is! We need to remind ourselves that this doesn’t always happen. There were 5 out of 6 days where we were great around each other. And if that isn’t happening… if there are 5 out of 6 days that weren’t good and you were seriously struggling in this relationship, I definitely encourage you to seek out therapy or more series (like this). You can tap in a little bit deeper to what is going on. Because you don’t have to live like this!
You. Can. Be. Happy.
I am happy to walk alongside of you in that journey, to find your happy or best self. Even if that doesn’t mean you are happy all of the time (because no one is).
So today I want you to focus on YOU. What do you want to get out of life, what is holding you back? We so often focus on what isn’t working in our relationships and why we aren’t happy in those, but it takes us a little bit longer to realize maybe we aren’t happy with ourselves. Maybe isn’t just the relationship that is struggling… maybe we are struggling to.
Are you stressed with work? Do you feel like you don’t have great friends, do you struggle with time management, do you have life changes going on now? Moved? Married? What is hard and not working right now and how can we fix it?
Just like we needed to create a step by step game plan in those improvement areas, so that it doesn’t keep happening, AND to say thank you when it is improving, we need to do the same for ourselves. When something isn’t working, don’t just keep doing it that way… (super easy to say, much less easy to do).
So when there is something in our lives causing us pain or stress, not just in our relationships, but within our lives, we need to re-examine. Is your self-esteem where you want it to be? Do you feel valued in your workplace? What are all of these different areas that might be causing you stress, anger, depression, sadness.
There is help out there for you.
If you feel you can’t take this on by yourself OR you don’t WANT to take this on by yourself, I offer in-office and tele-therapy sessions. I would be more than happy to meet with you to see if we’d be a good fit for each other (if we aren’t, I will help you someone that is!). I want you to be your best self and however we can get you there, I am here for you.
Alright folks, that is all I have for you, I hope that you enjoyed the 6 part series of relationship refresh. I will be releasing an e-book here in the next few weeks, if you want to dig into yourself any deeper, I encourage you to check back in! It will be released on my website and be free (yippeeeee!).
I’d also love to hear how this experience was for you. If it was helpful or you saw improvement areas for the series, send me an email or text and let me know! OK kids, have a wonderful week and a happy and healthy 2020.
