Counseling in Jacksonville Beach: Should I Be Your Therapist?

Are you contemplating going to therapy? WELL I wanted to simplify the process of choosing the right therapist for you. If it feels like I am describing you in one of the categories below, then HELL YES, I am the therapist for you. If it doesn’t quite feel like you are fitting into any of these… maybe I’m not and I’d love to find you the right person.

So check out these three categories to see if I should be YOUR therapist

TEENAGER: THIS IS FOR YOU

Are you a teenager? Pissed, lonely, frustrated, overwhelmed? Ready to open up to someone who knows what they are talking about? You’re in the right place. You found it. Whether you are overwhelmed, lonely, crying, confused, angry, anxious, stressed, lack confidence, or a variety of other emotions and thoughts; I can help. Life as a teen is complicated with school, friends, activities, future planning; not only that, but relationships, hormones, learning who you are; it is A LOT. I get it. And trust me, I’ll get you too (or your teen).

I like to say working with teenagers is my bread and butter. All of my professional experience and expertise has involvement with teenagers and their families. I don’t want to bore you, but let’s just say I have lots of advanced training and experience to be the town’s teenager guru (self-proclaimed). As a young, and often more relatable, therapist I have found that building a strong and trusting relationship with teens is organic. It is our relationship that is the foundation and one of the most important aspects of future progress in therapy.

20 SOMETHING: THIS IS FOR YOU

Are you a “20 something”? Feeling lost, overwhelmed, lonely, frustrated? Not quite sure where your relationship (or serious lack-there-of) is going? Struggling and you just thought, geeeeez, by now, I should have it figured out?

My approach is providing a therapy experience designed for you. I understand that everyone is different and my practice thrives based on finding a technique that is going to work for you and your struggles. Whether you are overwhelmed, lonely, crying, confused, angry, anxious, stressed, lack confidence, or a variety of other emotions and thoughts; I can help. Your life is complicated. I get it. And trust me, I’ll get you too. As a younger, and often (self-proclaimed) more relatable, therapist I have found that building a relationship with my clients is organic. Our relationship is the foundation and one of the most important aspects of your future progress in therapy.

PERINATAL MAMA: THIS IS FOR YOU

If you are a new parent, maybe a soon-to-be parent, or a parent that has lost a child (miscarriage, still-birth, or infant) you are in the right place. Are you struggling with adjusting to your new role? Feeling overwhelmed, lonely, frustrated, exhausted? Do you feel like you aren’t good enough for your child(ren)? Does every day feel like an unwanted challenge and you are just not sure how you can get through the day (and night for that matter). Is finding time for yourself, sleeping, eating, showering, just not happening? Is it not all bliss, like you had hoped?

If you’ve lost a child, do you feel like no one understands? Do you feel like you aren’t supposed to be THIS upset? Does your pain feel invisible to the outside world? Do you feel everything is empty? How can things go back to normal?

You’re in the right place. You’ve found it. It is a big deal to even be looking into therapy because it takes time, energy, and mental space, all of which you probably feel like you don’t have any of.
I won’t bore or overwhelm you, but let’s just say I have a lot of training and experience for your exact problems. I can help. Your life is complicated. I get it. And trust me, I’ll get you too. We’ll figure this out together.

So you fit into one of my categories… now what?
